SMC guide
Smart Money Concepts, step by step
Smart Money Concepts describe how institutional order flow leaves footprints on the chart. Once you can read structure, liquidity and zones, you stop chasing price and start waiting for it.
- Multi-timeframe trend filter
- Liquidity-based targets
- Order block and FVG entries
- Risk shown in R on every target
Market structure first
An uptrend makes higher highs and higher lows. A break of structure (BOS) confirms continuation; a change of character (CHoCH) warns of a reversal. Always start on the higher timeframe.
Where to enter
After the break, mark the order block or fair value gap that caused it. Enter on the return to that zone, ideally in discount for buys or premium for sells.
Where to exit
Stop beyond the zone. Targets at the next untaken liquidity: equal highs/lows, session extremes, then a higher-timeframe swing.
